Ithilwen turned toward the sound, eyes frightened, body tense, but then realized what it was. She shook her head. Nimmir was getting out of hand. Without another sound, she padded over to where Nimmir was glaring at the twins. "Thraka-tul-ish, glob! Skai!" she growled at her.
OOC: "Get out here, fool! Skai!" Or close enough! lol

Nimmir rose an eyebrow, and the hair on the back of her neck stood up, and the sky darkened slightly.
"Pardon?" she asked, glaring up at Ithilwen. A joke about orcs raping women hadn't she'd over heard earlier, didn't make her feel any better about herself.

Ithilwen nodded. "Good, I have your attention," she said. "I don't know what the problem is, really I don't, but please, calm down! There's enough chaos in this house without adding to it!" She gestured. "Is this about the bread? Because we've already explained, there's nothing we can do about that. How about some cherries instead?"

"It's not about the bread," she whispered and got up, pulling a cloak on. "Something some stupid elf said... he's the only one, I'll wish orcs on..." she clasped the brooch and took a deep breath. It was good to have Ithilwen yelling at her again, and it slightly lifted her spirits.
Elrond was running to the house. The Black Speech had been uttered in Rivendell, and he was shaking, as was every other elf.

Ithilwen cocked her head to one side. "Is that all?" she asked. "Really, Nimmir, I know you're suffering and all, but you said yourself he was a 'stupid elf'. Why let something someone said make you so upset you loose sight of the things that are important? There are much worse things in the world!" Her dead eye seemed to remind Nimmir that things could be worse.

Nimmir shook gently, and took a deep breath. "It's this cursed babe, making me moody," she whispered and unlatched her pipes, wondering if she should leave them, or take them. They were of little use now.
"And you're right... things could be worse."

Ithilwen nodded, and smiled, and sank back into herself. With a final nod to the twins, she padded back to the bedroom, curling up in her bed. She would be sobbing, if she could. Instead, she just shook with the emotion of what had just happened.

Nimmir tighened her cloak and left, running into Elrond. He eyed her, and was obviously angry. "Why, were you speaking, that langage here?" he snapped, shaking. "Everyone heard it!" he would have taken her by the shoulders if he didn't think it would startle her.

Ithilwen heard Elrond come storming into the house, and start yelling at Nimmir. She wondered what she should do, and looked to Glauron, to see what he thought of all this.

Glauron walked over and moved hair from the good side of her face. "Don't worry," he whispered, kissing her forehead. "I'll be right back..." Nimmir was shaking and looked away. "I'm sorry!" she said softly after a while. Shouting would make her hoarse for weeks. Elrond gritted his teeth.
"Just don't do it again!" he narrowed his eyes, displeased. A disgruntled wizard, soon followed him, and rose his eyebrow at her.
Glauron entered the room blinking. He was used to seeing Elrond, but a wizard in his house! To think he had been only a lowly smith a year and a half ago. "M'lord," he said with a nod. "I'll talk to Ithilwen about it, but she's shaken..."

Ithilwen listened to them talk, wondering if they knew she was the one who had uttered the words of the Black Speech. She decided Nimmir couldn't take the blame for this. She got up and went out. "M'lord, I . . ." she began, but the words died stillborn on her lips. She just stared at Mithrandir, starled. She had seen the wizard a dozen times, what was wrong with her?! But the power that seemed to resonate from him scared her like it never had before. She began to tremble slightly. Why was she so scared?!

Mithrandir sensed her emotion and backed up, trying to get her to realize that he was good. "Lady Ithilwen," he said, with a bow, taking off his hat. "Congraulations on your pregnacy..." he nodded. Glauron noticed and took Ithilwen in a small, light embrace, barley thouching her.
Nimmir didn't notice, she was gawking up at the wizard.

Ithilwen looked away, it was the only way she could focus. "M'lord," she said again, "I was the one that uttered the Black Speech. Nimmir cursed in it, and, I just snapped, and answered in kind." She bowed her head. "I'm sorry, truly I am."

Glauron looked at her, surpised, as did Elrond. "Ithilwen," he said, softly, not yelling anymore. Nimmir had been healing for three months, and would start to show soon, but Ithilwen was still broken.
"Please... never say that in Rivendell again... I beg it of you, forget the whole language."

Ithilwen turned away from them. "I . . . can't. The language is etched in my brain. It just . . . is there." She figited nervously from foot to foot, grateful for Glauron's arm around her. "I am sorry," she said finally. Still in the Common Tongue.
