Vanmoriel snorted. "Whatever you're told," she said. She wasn't quite sure what this half-breed was up to, but she didn't like the sympathetic way he was eyeing the trussed twins.
Ithilwen awoke some time later, to find herself gagged and bound to a tree. She struggled, to no avail. Whoever had tied her knew their business! She fumed, thinking of the hooded figure. The crone had seemed familiar . . .
Her dagger gave a sudden burst of glow, then died. Ithilwen shrugged. "I'm thinking!" she told Finnar. Something . . .
It hit her. Hard enough that she actually gasped aloud. Or would have, if not for the gag. The traitor! The scum! She had saved Din's life, insisting Finnar take her in, had comforted her in the dungeons of the Witch-king, had done so much for her, and now this! At first, she was surprised. But shock gave way to anger, and anger to just plain furious.
That's how she was when Glauron found her. She fumed at him, as if it was his fault.

"Calm down!" he whispered softly, and picked her up. "I didn't do this." He picked her up and kissed her forhead. "What happened?"

Ithilwen was still fuming. "The little traitor!" she said. Then, seeing his expression . . . "she kidnapped Agalos and Laur!"

"What?" he asked, and blinked, touching his blade. "Who?"

Before Ithilwen could reply, her dagger came to life, glowing in its place under her tunic. Finnar's way of telling her she didn't have the time to chat. Ithilwen curled her lip in disgust. "Din," she told Glauron. "Din has the twins. Glauron, that's why I have to go on alone. We have a chance if it's just me -- she may respond to me. But with you there, she won't."

In the Halls of Mandos
Finnar rolled her eyes. "She finally figured it out..." she lauged. She mad ethe dagger glow once more and smack Ithilwen to get her attention and had it point down the trail. She then heard that Ithilwen wanted to go alone, and nearley blew off the roof of the Halls of Mandos. "Take the pretty boy with you!" she urged, knowing that Ithilwen couldn't hear her. Instead she made the dagger smack Ithilwen over and over.

Ithilwen was surprised by the blow. "Ow!" she said. "Hey, I'm going!" She looked at Glauron, as if to say, see? I have to go alone now!

In the halls of Mandos
Finnar went beserk. "BRING THE D*MNED ELF WITH YOU, YOU SILLY TART!" she screamed. In the corner of the small room that Finnar was in, Freyida -- Finnar's Mother-- groaned. "Shut up...she can't hear you..." Finnar pouted, and kept on making the dagger smack Ithilwen.

Naru looked at Din and sighed. "Why do they need to come?" he asked, jerking his head backwards at his cousins.
Glauron took her arm. "I don't care, I'm coming," he whisepred. He took her in his arms and tried to block her from the dagger that kept hitting her. It scared him. "What is that?" he asked, worried.

Ithilwen ignored his question. "Glauron, I have a much better chance without you. I . . . I don't know how far Din has fallen. But if there's any shread of good in her, I may be able to reach it. If I go alone." She sighed. "I'm sorry."
Vanmoriel answered for her. "They're . . . a gift," she said. "And . . . you'll see." She had her own agenda. If she gave Ithilwen to the Witch-king, she reasoned, he may up the timetable for the attack on Rivendell. She smiled. Glauron would be hers that much sooner.

"I'm coming," he repeated and grabbed the dagger, it slightly digging into the fleshy palm of his hand. It hurt, but he had felt worse.

Ithilwen sighed. "Alright," she agreed, against her best judgement. To her shock, the dagger immediately stopped fighting, and fell back to its place. "Stupid thing," she murmured.

Ithilwen laughed. "No, definitely not," she said, putting it under her tunic again. When she had been getting ready, she had pulled on one of Glauron's tunics and a pair of his pants, but hadn't taken the time for anything else. Her hair was still nice, with her circlet still in it, and she even still had her corset on under the tunic. She got up and readied their supplies to ride again.

He nodded and looked at her. "Alright, so tell me now, cooly, without yelling or mummbling." He looked at her gently. "I didn't catch all of it."
