"Mistress Finnar. And the Witchking. She taught me how to defend myself, while the Witchking taught me this." Din explained. A black mist began to form in the room. "I took a vow to give my sould to Morgoth ans Sauron in turn for immense power."

Vanmoriel watched the mist with a mixture of horror and curiosity. This was far over her head! Her soul to Morgoth and Sauron? She had never heard of such a thing! The girl could be a valuable ally . . . "You're Finnar's kid, huh?" she said, not showing any emotion. "Perhaps you could help me a little in my spying."

"Why should I do that? Meddle with lesser people than me?" Din asked. Some lightning flashed outside, and the rain began to pour harder. The must seemed to swirl around the elf as if tying he up. "What's in it for me?"

Vanmoriel shrugged, even though her horror was growing by the minute. "What do you want?" she asked the girl.

"Anything to get revenge on that Ithilwen woman. She stole something that was mine! And I want it back." She growled. Din appeared to grow in size a bit.

Vanmoriel was shocked. Another hater of the silver-haired demoness? "What did she steal?" she asked. She smiled, then. "If I can help you with your revenge, would you help me?"

"She stole a crystal dagger of mine." Din seethed. When the elf made her offer, Din shrunk in size, the rain returned to normal and the blac mist was gone. "How would I help you?" she asked.

Vanmoriel shrugged. "You're small, younger than me," she said. "You can do things that I cannot. Also, you have connections in the palace. Basically, you'd keep your eyes and ears open, and tell me anything of interest. Or that would help someone destory Rivendell or Elrond. Which is basically the same thing."

"Destroy Elrond?" Din said with a grin. "Tell me first, Vanmoriel," she said. "What do you want out of this?"

Vanmoriel's lip curled. She didn't want to tell this little demon-spawn anything! But, if she was to be an ally . . . "Glaruon," she hissed.

"You hate Glauron? Hey, me to! Stupid blonde prat strutting around like he owns the place. I can't beleive he's my uncle..." Din cursed.

Vanmoriel shook her head. "No," she said. "I love him. He is what I am promised."

"Really? So you want to make that Ithilwen suffer, right Vanmoriel?" Din asked, knowing the elf's name with out being told it.

Vanmoriel snarled. "Good job, Din," she said sarcastically. "Did you figure that out all by yourself? Yes, I wish her to suffer."

"You only know of my name because I'm famous in mordor! The black witch, they call me!" Din did have a massive ego.
