She turned her head, surprised that she'd asked."Oh, 'tis 'The History of Middle-Earth'." she said,"I just grabbed it off the shelf and looked for anything that might be interesting."

Ithilwen laughed. "That's the way to go sometimes," she agreed. She looked around. "One doesn't always need a specific subject in mind when coming to the Library."

Mirwen laughed too."Well, I think I was at something about Mordor when I saw you..."

Ithilwen perked up. "Mordor?" she said. "Saw me? What do you mean?"

Merwin laughed and shook her head, indicating that Ithilwen misunderstood."No, I mean I looked up and saw you in the library." she paused."Though thier is something about some kind of mission for four to Mordor....." Mirwen gave Ithy a knowing look, but said nothing more.

Ithilwen shrugged. The mission was no that big of a deal. There was much worse things for her to find out about! "I already told you, I've been literally everywhere in Middle-earth." She smiled. "Except the Shire."

"Mordor?" she asked, startled. "Not if I can help it!" she laughed. "It's not a ... pleasant place. Especially if ... nevermind."

She laughed."No, the Shire. I don't think anyone would go to Mordor if they cuold help it!"

Ithilwen laughed. "My point, exactly!" she said. "As for the Shire ... I have no desire, really. Despite it all, I'm not big on travel. I'd much rather be home. Safe in Rivendell."

Mirwen laughed with her."I doubt anyone wouldn't rather be safe and in thier homes. But, sometimes I wonder.... Will Rivendell be safe forever?" she turned to her."I don't doubt it will be a while before it isn't safe, but it just seems a little scary-" she stopped."Oh, I'm sorry to go off like that..."

Ithilwen shrugged. "The siege made everyone think twice about the safety of Rivendell," she admitted. "But it's still much safer than in the open!"

Mirwen nodded."I suppose you're right..." she sighed."It just seems so strange. The whole thing is just so.. so.." she paused."For lack of a better word, awkward. They're power hungry, but if they kill off everything, there'll be nothing to rule..." her face turned crimson."Oh, dear. I started off like that again, didn't I?"

"Like what?" Ithilwen asked. "Honestly, it's fine! I enjoy conversations like this!"

Mirwen smiled."I guess I'm just used to people getting a little.." she paused."For lack of a much better word, frightened. A lot of people don't like talking about terrible things that could happen, dwelling in safety..."
