Ithilwen beamed at him. "I only wish I hadn't lost the first," she said, a little sadly. But the sadness was over the lost circlet, and the sentimental value behind it. She brightened. "And I have something for you!" she said. "But it's at the house." She laughed. "I didn't exactly bring it with me to go swimming!" She reached up to touch the circlet, the cool metal under her fingers. It felt good to have one again.

He smiled and moved the moon to kiss her forehead. "It looks beautiful on you," he whisierped and ran his fingers through her hair. "Just like everything."

She smiled back at him, blushing under the praise. "Your sister has been acting odd today," she said. "Do you know what is wrong?"

"No," he shook his head. "I don't know, but one of the apprentices was asking for her," he said. "Do you think she loves someone other than Eramrath?" he asked, a little hope in his eyes. He really didn't like the old elf.

Ithilwen shook her head. "No, last I heard, they were still betrothed." She shook her head sadly. She, too, had no fondness for Eramrath. "I honestly don't understand what she sees in him."

"Many did not understand what you saw in me," he whispered and kissed her cheek. "Oh well..." he kissed her. "What do you think of these?" he asked, about rings.

"Oh, Glauron, they're beautiful!" she exclaimed, taking them. Then she saw the names on them. "You don't expect to give these to the twins now, do you?" she asked, slightly worried.

"No," he shook his head, and pulled out two chains. "They can wear them around their necks when they're a bit older, and then on their fingers when they fit."

She smiled, hugging him. "What a wonderful idea!" she said, kissing him on the cheek. Then she realized something. "But why are you back so early?" She smiled. "You remembered! I knew you would."

"Of course I remembered," he whispered and ran his fingers through her hair, looking down at her a smile tugging on his lips. "But why are you not home?"

Ithilwen smiled up at him. Her hair was past her shoulders now, and she was proud of it. "Nimmir asked me to go on a walk with her," she said. "We walked to here, then dangled our feet in the water." She looked around. "Where is Nimmir, anyway?"
OOC: she didn't hear . . .

Nimmir walked into the house and took a deep breath. "Did he see?" she asked.

Landion looked up from where he was hanging the decorative cloth (OOC: like that gauzy stuff, or whatever the Middle-earth equivalent is BIC:). "I don't think so," he said. "He just asked a lot of questions, then I diverted him to you too up by the river."

"Thanks a lot!" she said, shaking her head and helping him. The servants were moving around, and she smiled at Landion.
"When was the last time we did this?" she asked, laughing. They had been childhood friends, about the same age.

He frowned. "I don't remember," he admitted. "Awhile."
