Ithilwen smiled. "I'm rather busy with the twins!" she said. "But, before that, mostly management. When Arandur was . . . died, I took over the job of overseer of the household staff. A pretty good job -- we have a household of eight. That, plus mending clothes, keeping everything well stocked, going to market when need be, fixing anyone's minor cuts and bruises, and everything else kept me pretty busy until Glauron came home. Not to say I didn't have my down periods."

Alya's face lit up, "You could travel with me! Not a long trip, just to Lothlorien and back! Oh, Ithy, It'll be fun!" she exclaimed.

Ithilwen laughed at that -- she couldn't help it. "My sister, I am through with any kind of travel for the time being," she said. "Travel and I don't get along."

ALya but on her pouty face. The one that always got her what she wanted, "Oh Ithilwen, PLEASE! It'll be fun. We can bond, and travel. See Middle Earth and all her glory. Oh please!" she sighed, tears coming to her face. Maybe the tears where a bit much, but she really wanted to travel, and didn't feel like doing it alone. So she added tears.

Ithilwen, however, knew how much of a spoiled brat her sister could be. She did grow up with her, after all. "I have already seen Middle-earth, and most of what she has to offer isn't that glorious," she replied. "Or, at least, the getting there isn't. Now, if you're so set on travelling, why not get someone else?"

Alya wrinkled her nose, "Like who?" she could only think of Arwen, who was so wrapped up in Aragorn, who had stopped by with some friends, that she wouldn't go.

Ithilwen sighed. "Like . . . I don't know! Who are your friends." She saw Alya's look. "Nevermind . . . would one of your maids go with you?"

She rolled her eyes, "And miss a chance of being alone with Landion? Doubt it!" she laughed, "Poor thing can't understand our maid's 'blushing problem.' He doesn't believe me when I said they thought he was cute." she laughed again. "Anyways, no, they don't like me much anyways."

Ithilwen sighed. "Then who else? Honestly, Alya, there must be a way around this!"

She thought for a moment, "Nope," she smiled sweetly, "That leaves only you!" she giggled.

Ithilwen shook her head. "Alya, I'm not leaving Rivendell! Who will watch the twins while I'm gone?"

She thought, "Nimmir could, we wouldn't be gone long." she smiled sweetly. She knew Nimmir had done it in the past. "Please, Ithilwen!" she begged, trying the puppy dog eyes again.

Ithilwen considered. It was only to Lothlórien and back. Not that far, and not a dangerous route. What could go wrong? "Weelllll . . . ."

Alya's face lit up, "Good, when should we leave?" she asked, not waiting for Ithilwen to finish her sentence.

Ithilwen looked at her sister. "We haven't decided to leave, yet!" she said. "Alya, what about Glauron? What will he do while I'm gone? And the household isn't going to run itself! I have responsibilites here -- I can't just leave!"
