Alya busied herself with cleaning. She had done nothing but clean and cook since Ithiwlen had been missing. She worried about her, and it made her nervouse.

Landion came home from the forge late, as usual these days. With Glauron gone, as his senior apprentice, he was in charge. "Alya?" he called. He sniffed the air. "Have you been cleaning again?"

Alya poked her head around the corner, "Hello, and yes," she sighed, going back to rubbing the table till it she could see her reflection in it. "I have to clean the kitchen, then the living room. Dinner is ready on the table, I'll be there in a second." she informed him.

Landion sighed. "Alya, you're going to get sick, doing so much!" he said. "It's not healthy! Why don't you . . ." he stopped. He was going to say, go see Ithilwen. ". . . read a book, or something," he said instead.

She put the cloth down. "I don't want to read. I enjoy cleaning." she huffed, sitting down at the table. "Now, how was our day?" she asked him, "Any new news?" she asked.

He shook his head. "Nothing," he said. "It's as if they just disappeared off the face of Arda!" He sighed. "Although four horses are missing, including Ithilwen's mare." And Glauron, and their twins, and Din, and Naru, and that strange apprentice of Glauron's, Sidhiel. But Alya knew all that.

Alya nodded, taking a bit. She had gotten very good at cooking with her doing a lot of it. Cook was very rarely allowed in the kitchen now. Alya was getting snippy with everyone. She sighed, taking another bite, "Well, how was your day? I hope well," she said.

Landion nodded. "Well enough," he admitted. "Not many people are ordering anymore. Too many have gone West. And, quite frankly, I don't blame them."

Alya looked up, "Are you thinking we should go, because I don't want to." she said frankly. "I want to stay here, and see what happens," she put her fork down, looking at him.

He shook his head. "I think that it may be a good idea," he said. "But I do not wish to go. Not yet. Perhaps in a few years."

Alya nodded, picking her fork back up. She had eaten a lot today, but she was still hungrey. She shook her head, thinking the stress was getting to her. "I made apple cobblar today," she smiled. She knew it was his favorite, and she had unearthed a recipie.

He looked up, surprised. "Really?" he asked. He hadn't had apple cobbler in a long time! "Thank you!"

She smiled, "It was nothing. I made a two actually, though I'm not quite sure why," she laughed. "I guess there will be plenty for work tomorrow," she smiled. She got up to put her dishes in the kitchen basin., and got dissy. She stood there for a second, trying to get her bearings. She glanced over to Landion, seeing if he noticed.

He didn't. "This is good!" he announced. "You should make this more often!" He hoped that didn't sound too rude. He enjoyed his wife's cooking. It might not be as good as Cook's (even though she had gotten very good at it, Cook had still been trained since birth to be a wizard in the kitchen), it still was made by her hands.

She smiled from the basin, "I will," she told him. Her head felt light. "I think I'm going to go to bed early tonight. I'm feeling a little out of it today," she whispered, gripping the table for support.
