She shrugged. "It does not matter to me," she said. "As long as there are no chains involved, I'm pretty easygoing."

Elrond laughed and nodded. "Alright, you may stay where you choose... Nimmir... please get her proper cloths."
Nimmir looked up from Laur's hair. "Of course, Lord," she whispered and took the two girls with her.

Galwen followed Nimmir gladly enough. She was ready to get rid of everything that reminded her of her slavery, and dive right back into the culture of her people! "So, you're Glauron's sister?" she asked.
Elrond spoke to Glauron while they were gone. He almost didn't, but the look on Alagos' face showed that the boy had matured considerably over the past months, and Elrond felt comfortable in talking freely in front of him. "Glauron, I am sorry for your loss," he said. "Your home has been kept clean for you, in hopes of your return, and of course you may return to the forges as soon as you feel ready. Although that was not said to hurry you there -- take as much time to grieve for your wife as you need!" He walked with him towards Glauron's home.

"Being in the forge again will help," he whispered. "Come..." he said, struggling with Saerwen's new name. "I'll get you settled."
Nimmir was rocking Laur and cried. "What did you want to tell me?"

Galwen nodded, and followed Glauron greatfully.
Laur sniffled. "It's about Naru," she said, then told her aunt about how he had become bad, and why, but also about his purchasing her and how well he had treated her.

Her heart dropped and she looked down. "You hate us?" she whispered. "Him and I? Him because of what he is, and me because I made him that way?"

Laur shook her head. "No, Aunt," she said. "Perhaps I would have before. But now ... I just don't want to hate anymore. I've had enough of hatred, and what it does."
Meanwhile, Galwen was exploring her new home (for now). She ran her hands over the quilt on the bed, and almost wept with joy. A real room! A real bed! A place all her own again, with no masters and no chains! And she had to share it with no one!

Nimmir was crying, but she kissed her forehed. "Will you stay with me for a little while?" she whispered. "Until Uncle Errie gets back? I'm lonley.. or would you rather stay with your father."
Glauron leaned against the door, watching Galwen. "Do you like it?" he asked. He was dressed in his favorite outfit. A soft cotton tuic that hung past his hips, pants that were tight, but comfortable and a long robe that reached his feet. All a light powder blue, save for the white tunic with silver lining.

She looked back at him happily. "I love it!" she said. "Thank you so much!"
Laur looked at her aunt. "I'll stay with you," she said. Her aunt's need was greater than her own.

"How about I stay with you?" she whispered. "You, your brother, and your father... I'll help all of you." She closed her eyes and rocked her. "Come."
Glauron shrugged. "Don't mention it," he said with a smile. "This is the least I could do..." he smiled. "Thank you for looking me in the eye now."

Galwen smiled at him. "Do you ... maybe have something I can wear?" she asked, gesturing to her loincloth and tunic combo.
Laur nodded. "If my Ada agrees ... " she said. "I don't know if there'll be room!"

"There's a closet through there," he said, nodding towards the small door. "You're welcome to anything in it."

She smiled. "Thank you," she said, leaving Glauron to his own devices while she went through to see what was available to wear.

Glauron went to check on his children. Alagos was looking slightly detached. "How are you?" he asked, sitting down on his son's bed.

Alagos shook his head. "The house ... it's almost surreal," he said. "We're home, but ... it's so empty!" He had changed into a tunic and pants set, and now looked like any other Elf -- barring his short hair, of course. "Everything's so quiet!" He gestured to his mother's room, with the loom.
