Alya kissed his cheek. "How was work?" she asked, noticing his foul mood, "What's wrong?" she asked, hugging him.

He hugged his wife, trying to decide the best way to do this. Either way, it wasn't going to be easy. "Alya, Glauron and the twins came back today," he began.

Landion shook his head. "There was a fight, and ... their captor was going to kill both her and Glauron, and ... she killed their captor, instead. But, honey, she was a slave. And so she was executed."

Alya shook her head, feeling a flood of emotion wash over her. She felt like she was going to faint. She began to sob, "Not Ithilwen, no, not Ithilwen."
