The view of the waterfalls from the gardens was stunning. Ithilwen loved to come here, and just watch it. As she was doing now, absentmindedly twirling a flower between her fingers, and just thinking.

Tiredion walked through the gardens. Everything seemed to be slowly getting back to normal since the siege. A hand went up to his left ear, the ear that would never let him forget the events. He shook his head, and kept walking.

Ithilwen heard someone walking around. She scooped up her crutch, and pulled out her knife, nerves still on end from the fighting. Then she saw it was just an Elf, and relaxed.

Tiredion didn't approach the other elf at first. She looked rather familiar. Or perhaps it was just seeing someone weilding a knife that looked familiar. Oh well. He was just tired. Tired ended up walking by the elf.

<Hello,> Ithilwen called out. <Sorry.> She put the knife away. <I'm Ithilwen.>

<I'm Tired,> Tiredion said, stopping. <Literally. . . > he added in a mumble. <Well, Tiredion. . .>

Ithilwen laughed. <Mae govannen, Tiredion!> she said. <I recognize you from somewhere ... >

<Funny, you look familiar yourself. Heh,> he gave a nervous laugh. Hopefully he didn't do anything wrong. Usually when someone said, 'you look familiar', it meant 'you stole something!'

She raised an eyebrow. <Oh, I do?> she said. Please, let him not recognize me from the Siege! Then she saw his ear. <Ohhhh, what happened?> she said, concerned. It looked nasty. And painful.

Fortunately for Ithilwen, he didn't at the time. <Erm. . . > Lovely. He hated it when other people said anything. True, it happened a week or two ago, but seeing an elf with a big bite mark and chunk missing, people got curious. <An orc took a bite out of it.>

<Oh,> she said. <Don't worry, it's not that big of a deal. At least you can still use that ear!>

<Kind of. Can't hear out of it as well. . .> Well since she brought up his ear, he might as well do the same. <What happened to your eye?>

She blushed, and looked away. <My eye?> she asked. <Ummm .... I had an accident. In a way.>

<In a way? What do you mean?> Tired said, raising an eyebrow.

Ithilwen figited, and suddenly became very interested in the flower in her hands. <I, ummm ...> might as well tell him <... was crossing the Misty Mountains and got caught. By a half-orc. And spent a few months as her slave.> She shrugged, like it was no big deal.
