Vanmoriel was bored. The forges were closed for the time being -- both Glauron and Landion were home with their families. That made her blood boil -- it meant Glauron was home with her. Ever since she had first set eyes on her, she had wanted to hurt her, even having fantasies of killing her.
And now one of those fantasies was about to come true. No, she wasn't going to kill anyone! But she had a friend that was an herbalist . . . he said anyone who drank this would get quite sick. She smirked. Enjoy your time with your hubby now, sweetie, she thought.

Alya smiled. She and Landion were going to have dinner with Ithilwen and Glauron. It would help her take her mind off of being pregnant for the time being. It consumed her days now, and she was tired of it. So, to help her cheer up, Ithilwen had invited them over for dinner. "Ready dear?" she called from the bedroom. She had finished getting ready, and wanted to go soon.

"Ready!" Landion called, emerging from the bedroom. He offered his arm, she took it, and they were off.

It was a decent hike with her now ever growing stomach. She was out of breath by the time they arrived, which irritated her. But she wasn't going to let it get to her. Not tonight. She smiled as her knocked on the door.

Glauron answered it, inviting them both inside. "Come in, come in!" he said. "I hope you like broiled pheasant . . .?"

Alya nodded. She was starving, and would eat whatever was put in front of her. They were ushered into the dining room, where the rest of the family was busily doing doing different things.

Ithilwen smiled when she saw her sister. "Alya!" she said. "How are you feeling?"

Alya smiled, "I'm fine now that I'm hear," she said, taking the seat that was offered her, "How is everyone here?" she asked watching the food placed on the table.

"Oh, fine!" Ithilwen said. Dinner was not quite ready, so . . . The men retired to the livingroom to talk, and Ithilwen and Alya were happy to converse in the kitchen. "Oh, how rude of me!" Ithilwen said. "Would you like something to drink?"

"Somthing strong enough to make the pain go away," she laughed, "Water would be fine," she chuckled. "I suppose water will have to do," she said, smiling at her.

Ithilwen nodded. "Two glasses of water it is!" she said, not wanting her sister to feel left out of anything. She got up to get them.

Alya smiled, taking the glass she was given. She sipped it. It was certainly NOT wine. She missed wine the most. She sighed, rubbing her belly. "Ithilwen, don't miss out on my account," she told her, "Please, get some wine for yourself," she told her.

Ithilwen rose an eyebrow. "Are you sure . . .?" she asked. She could go without! At her sister's nod, she poured a glass for herself. "Okay, then . . ." she said, taking a sip.

Just then they were called in to the sitting room. The twins had done some tricks and they just 'had to see it' as Glauron put it. So they both got up, going to see what the commotion was about.

Vanmoriel saw that she had company. Good. So, she waited until both she and the sister had been called out. The sister was pregnant, so the wine was most definitely Ithilwen's. Quickly, she poured the herbs into the wine and left.
