"I'll get him over here as soon as I can. But honestly, I'm not just a reporter," Tuveren said, smiling. "I do have to say, I think he was expecting much worse."

Ithilwen smiled broadly at that. Finally, someone who was not shocked but pleased by her condition! "It could have been," she admitted. Yes, it could -- she could still be there.

"I think I'm happiest that you're still Ithilwen. I've known woman who would have been traumatized by all this. Well, traumatized as in losing their sanity," Tuveren said. Things were getting easier.

Ithilwen looked at Túveren, surprised. "Am I sane? Yes," she admitted. "But am I Ithilwen? No." Her whole face changed, to one of anger and agony. "There isn't a moment goes by, I'm thinking about what they did to me," she began. "I escape it for a moment, but then I look around, and something reminds me. I hear a twig snap, and I can feel a whip being cracked against my back again. I hear someone cooking, and I remember the feel of a branding iron being pressed against my bare skin. I see a piece of cloth flapping in the breeze, and I remember . . . " She stopped. "No, Túveren, I am not Ithilwen. And I never will be again. Ithilwen is dead."

Túveren looked down. She chose not to reply. After some moments of somewhat awkward silence, she looked back up. "Is the child okay?"

Ithilwen bowed her head. "Yes, the child is fine. It is the only thing that is fine." She smiled ironically -- they had kept the babe alive on purpose.

Túveren nodded. "Great. That's great to hear that it's not hurt. How much longer now?"

Ithilwen looked up. "I don't remember," she confessed without emotion. She had lost track. "It will come when it comes." She shrugged. "Glauron knows."

Tuveren nodded. "How is Glauron doing anyways?" she knew she was making small talk. But for now, that was more than alright.

Ithilwen shrugged. "Fine. He was a little shaken by," she gestured at her appearance, "but has been getting over it well." Better than she was, actually.

"Like I said before, try not to draw attention to it," she said. Nimmir with an orc/elf child, and Ithilwen. . . her two friends. These days were growing more and more depressing. Now it was only her turn---and she shuddered to think of what would happen.

"Alright Ithilwen, alright," she said. Tuveren looked up to the sky. It was turning pinkish. The sun was at last setting.

Túveren nodded, getting up. Seeing Ithilwen was still sitting, she held out a hand. "You alright?"
