"Oh, um, thanks!" Ithilwen said, handing it over. "Right this way . . ."
She led her to a pretty good-sized cottage on the outskirts of Rivendell. "This is home," she said, opening the gate and smiling. She was trying not to limp -- this was her first outing since her ribs had healed, and she was starting to feel that. She opened the door and called in, "Glauron, honey, are you decent? We have company!"

Mariana was concerened "Ithilwen you look tired, you should rest. It appears you are not fully healed. Perhaps I should come another time"

"Of course not!" Ithilwen said. She turned to Nithiel, who was standing there, waiting. "Could you get us some wine? The Mirkwood vintage, please."
OOC: Nithiel is one of the household servants.

Mariana looked around "you have a lovely home. The nicest I've seen"

Ithilwen smiled. "Thank you!" she said, honestly pleased. Much had been given them, but they had also worked to make this house into a home. She absent-mindedly ran her hand over a nearby wrought-iron chair, that Glauron himself had made.

"So Ithilwen, how long have you lived here?" Mariana smiled. She was honestly curios, it had been a long time since she had talked with someone with some class. And a friend in Rivendell can always be helpful.

Ithilwen directed her to take a seat in the sitting room. Nithiel reappeared with the wine -- the best they had -- as well as two wine glasses and a picture of water. Ithilwen accepted the tray with a thanks, then poured a glass of wine for her friend. "Well, I've lived here, in this house, for only about a month. But I've lived in Rivendell all my life. Would you like your wine diluted? It's very strong!"

"Yes please" Mariana looked around the house again. It certainly was beautiful, and very neat also. It made her wish she had a home. Aside from sleeping in trees and carrying all she had with her. "So what do you and your husband do, other than recovering from an orc experience"

Ithilwen laughed, and was pleased that she could. "Glauron is a smith," she said. "And we are both of the nobility."

"I figured as such. Your manor is that of one well bred" Mariana smiled "Though you are kinder than others with good blood"

Ithilwen blushed. "And I seem to remember you making a comment that I was not fit for the forest, last time we met," she said with a laugh.

"Well not for the deep forest at least. Unless you would enjoy be a main course. Spiders, unlike orcs, don't beleive in forplay" She smiled mischievously.

Ithilwen looked at her, horrified. "That wasn't even funny," she said, a look of horror on her face. "Do you think I enjoyed their 'foreplay'? Do you think that's how I wanted it to happen?"

"Ithilwen thats not what I meant. I wasn't talking about that. Just that orcs don't kill things right away like spiders do." She look apologetically at her "I'm sorry, I should have used a different word"

"That's okay," she said, although it wasn't. She had been trying so hard to act normal . . . She shook off the feeling of depression that had been threatening to eat her for a long time now. "Well, then, Glauron should be home soon!" she tried desprately to change the subject. "I can't wait for you to meet him!"
