"She saved me, too..." Din said, a tear forming. "Tell me, Ithilwen? Did she give you a crystal dagger?" she asked.

Ithilwen looked at the girl. "Yes, she did," she admitted. She trusted Din -- she had no reason not to.

"Here." Din said, handing Ithilwen a slip of paper. It was a letter from Finnar (which was written in tengwar): Ithilwen, I trust you have recived my dagger? Good. That dagger has may magical properties. Through that dagger, I will be watching you all the time. Even right now. If I dissaprove of something, that dagger will glow green and vibrate. Also if there is an enemy or dark magic around it will glow green and vibrate, pointing to where the evil is coming from. Keep it with you at all times. I would have made this letter longer, but this scribe is charging me one silver coin per scentence, and I do not have a ton of money on me. Well, have a good life, and farewell. Always,
Finnar Rille

Ithilwen didn't know what to think of this. Except that, in a way, she was glad. She smiled. Even in death, her Mistress was watching out for her. She clutched the paper to her, then put it in a pocket. She would tell no one of it.

Din still stared at Ithilwen. She wanted that dagger. The mist was getting more thick, and the dagger was begging to shake and glow green, and was pointing it's self at Din. Din made a quick exit, before Ithilwen coudl notice.

The dagger glowed green and vibrated slightly, then went blank. Ithilwen smiled. A final farewell, she surmised. {Goodbye, Mistress} she whispered. Where had Din gotten to?
She didn't wonder long, because just then the door opened and Elrond entered.

"That girl told me your Mistress has passed. Is it true?" Elrond asked, in a huff.

Ithilwen quickly hid the dagger, and nodded. She let her tear-streaked face and solemn mood do the talking for her. She didn't trust herself not to tell him that Finnar was still with her.

Elrond raised an eyebrow. "What do you intend to do with her?" he asked. Elrond didn't care whether Finnar was buried as a Queen, or cremated.

Ithilwen mopped at a fresh tear with her hand. "Bury her," she said. "Give her the best burial I can afford."

"That good? But Ithilwen! She tourtured you! Your eye! Your brand! The pre-mature birth of your children!" Elrond tried to reason with his daughter.

Ithilwen shook her head. "She did all of that under orders," she said. "And who knows what caused the premature birth of the twins?" She pursed her lips. Elrond knew nothing of her enslavement in Harad. She shook her head. "And I've developed a close relationship with her over the past few decades. Elrond, I wish to do this."

Elrond sighed. "If you wish that kind of burial for her, then so it will be."
OOC: Wanna start the funeral now?

OOC: yeah, or we can just continue it here. I mean, it probably will be small, people-wise.

The Funeral (somewhere in The Gape of Rohan) Din pushed a loose strand of hair away from Finnar's face. Her mother was dressed in a typical funeral dress of the Rohirrim. It was a navy blue with a sky blue collar, and gold embroidery around the hem of the sleeves and bottom. Finnar had a gold circlet with small red stones embedded in it. Using all of her inheritence (and some of Ithilwen's) from her grandfather, Din had a stone casket made for Finnar with the simple words of: Oh, how boring it is. carved in Rohirric on it. Din also had a mound made for her and named it Haudh-en-Dae, which translated to .Mound of the Shadow. No where was Finnar's name inscribed.
