Before LotR
Alya was so nervous. Today was her big day. She smiled. "Our big day," she giggled. She was up in the palace getting ready. Ithiwlen was there helping her, as well as her mother. But she were no help. She kept crying, so one of the maidens had to comfort her. A maiden helped her put her hair up. She had never worn it all up, so she was having a time getting it to stay. She wanted to cry. "Gah! Stupid hair," she said, frustrated.

Ithilwen came over to help her. "There," she said, after putting a few strategic pins in. "That should hold it!" She turned her sister around. She was so beautiful! "You excited?" she asked.

She smiled, "Very, a little nervous to!" she giggled. She wondered where Landion was, and what he was up to. She sighed, going back to getting ready. She looked over at her parents. "Is she okay?" she asked the maiden.

She shrugged. "You're getting married," the maiden said, as if it was news. Ithilwen had to laugh.
"Vanya, it's okay!" Ithilwen said. "They're going to have a good life together!"

Alya looked up, "Yes, of course we are," she said, getting upset anyone would think otherwise. "We will be happy, and we will be fine!" she said, in a very matter of fact way. She smiled, and nodded once. "Oh, Ithilwen waht time is it? I can't be late!" she cried.

Ithilwen smiled. "You won't be, but it's just about time. Where's Urúvion?"

Alya looked at her mother, "Do you know?" she asked her, "He left in a fluster, going to get smthing last time I saw him. He said he would be back in a second!" she said. "Where is he mother?" she asked frightened somthing might go wrong.

Ithilwen answered for her. "I'm sure he'll be here soon, calm down!" Even she hadn't been so nervous at her wedding! "For now, though, let's go enjoy the feast!" OOC: information on Elven wedding ceremonies can be found here.

She smiled, and shook her head. "Very well," she said taking Ithilwen's hand. "Coming mother?" she asked her mother, who had calmed down a little bit.

Vanya nodded, and followed them out.
At the feast, Vanya and Urúvion sat on Alya's side, as was traditional. Ithilwen sat beside Vanya, which was a lot better than sitting beside Urúvion in her opinion. Glauron and the twins were beside her. And Landion's family was, of course, to his side.
Landion was ecstatic. Today was his wedding day! He kept peeking glances at Alya. And how pretty she looked!

Alya noticed he kept peeking at her. She caught his glance and smiled at him. "How are you feeling?" she whispered into his ear. She herself was so happy, she hoped he felt the same.

Landion smiled. "Perfect," he said. "I feel that everything is finally perfect." He squeezed her hand under the table.

She smiled, and kissed his cheek, "Good!" She looked over at her parents. They didn't seem to happy. She shook her head. "Have fun, smile!" she told her father. There were so many people there. She begged that everything be perfect and that nothing happened at her wedding like at poor Ithilwen'.

Urúvion faked a smile for his daughter, then reached for another glass of wine. Then glared at his wife when Vanya smacked his hand away. She, too, didn't want any scenes at this wedding!

Alya watched them, and shook her head again. She looked at Ithilwen. She had Agalos, and was trying to get him to stop screaming. She laughed. She looked around. There were a lot of people there. Most of which she didn't know, but where there because her father knew them. She didn't care. She was happy they were there. The more the marrier, she thought. She smiled at Landion again, who was looking at her again.
