He blinked and looked at her. "Afraid of fire?" he asked a little shocked. "Well I all you have to do is open the flu, and let air in."

She nodded. "As long as I don't have to get too close to the fire itself!" she said. She came over to see what he meant, and saw that she could do it. She smiled, pleased.

He smiled at her and nodded. "You don't have to get close to flames," he smiled at her. She was rather good at this.

"Good," she said, performing the task he asked of her as well as she could.
The hours went by, as she did all that was asked of her. She was happy with this, engrossed in her work, when . . . "Glauron?" a female voice said from the doorway.

Glauron nearly dropped his hammer. Looking up, he moved the blonde hair from his eyes. "Moonlight," he whispered and set the hammer down. Walking over to his wife, a smile adorned his face, which had been drawn into the serious work face.

Ithilwen smiled at her husband. "How are you?" she asked, leaving a kiss on his cheek gently.
Vanmoriel's blood boiled. Here she was, the competition. The silver-haired demon spawn that had somehow enchanted Glauron. She fought to keep the hatred from showing on her face.

"Good," he said, a little tiredly. "It's hard work with no one around to help, but Sidhiel is a great help. " He smiled and nodded to the other elven lady. "I'm surpised you're here... normally you're so busy, or did the twins grow up over night?"

Ithilwen laughed. It made Vanmoriel's blood turn to ice. "They're over at Nimmir's today," she said. She turned to Vanmoriel. "Hello, Sidhiel," she said. Vanmoriel waved half-heartedly, trying to appear the sweet girl.

"Lets hope Naru doesn't hurt Alagos again," he whispered and shuddered. He loved his siter but the boy rubbed him the wrong way. "Do you need something, Ithilwen?" he asked. "A chair, water?" He smiled and looked at her. "I still have work to do, believe me, I would love to drop it all, but I cannot."

"No, no, that's fine!" the she-elf said. "I just wanted to bring you your lunch -- you forgot again!" She turned to Vanmoriel. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were here, or I would have brought you something, too!"
"That's okay," Vanmoriel said, with extreme self-control. I don't want anything your foul hands have touched -- it's poison!

He smiled and looked at her. "We can share, Ithilwen always packs me to much." He flashed her a full smile and looked to Ithilwen. "Do you wish to join us? I can give work a few minutes break..."

Ithilwen smiled back. "Sure, why not?" she said, pulling a barrel up next to the one Vanmoriel was sitting on. Her hem brushed against Vanmoriel's bare arm, and she jumped as if scalded, curling her lip for a fraction of a second in disgust. She quickly got control of herself, though, once again dropping the mask of sweet-as-sugar maiden and worker. She didn't think anyone had seen.

Glauron blinked. He had only seen her scowl for a brief second and he blinked, looking at her. Then shook his head and looked down at his lunch and smiled to Ithilwen.

Ithilwen, of course, soon offered Vanmoriel something to eat again. But she shook her head. "No, I have my own lunch," she said, with one of the sweet and innocent smiles Sidhiel was famous for. She held up a bag for emphasis, pulling the contents out, and began to eat.

He smiled. The lunchoen went it silence and he blinked. "You're welcome to stay and watch," he said and looked at Ithilwen. "But I might be a little late home tonight due to the little lunch, though I looked the gesture."
